Facilities

El Castillo is a mountain club founded 52 years ago. As part of its recreational and sports facilities, an ice rink was built approximately 30 years ago. The original rink was relatively small, so in 2014 the club's administration decided to renovate it and build a new semi-Olympic-sized rink.

The hockey school was founded in 1996 by Bruce Callow, and since then, hockey lessons have been offered at the club to both children and adults. Players begin at the beginner level, where they learn the fundamentals of skating and hockey. At the beginning of each year, the club holds a sports fair to introduce hockey and figure skating to the community and encourage new athletes to participate in these Olympic winter sports.

Since 2017, the club has hosted an international hockey tournament featuring teams from Canada, the United States, and the Falkland Islands. The Ice Castle skating school offers several levels, including SAM, Basic, Pre-Free Skate, Free Skate, Advanced, and Adult Skating.
